Embodied Yoga

What if movement wasn’t something we did to the body but something that emerged from within it? What if, instead of forcing ourselves into postures, we allowed the body to unfold into its natural expression, one breath at a time?

This class weaves together classical asana, embodied movement, and breath awareness, creating a practice that is both structured and fluid. Rooted in yogic tradition yet deeply intuitive, it invites you to move in a way that feels natural to your body, beyond rigid alignment, beyond performance, into a space of pure presence.

Through asana, breath, and embodied enquiry, we explore movement as an organic process, one that arises from the intelligence already present in the body.

At the heart of this practice is the hip complex, the body’s true centre of movement and stability. Many injuries and back issues arise from a disconnection here. When we move from our extremities instead of from our centre, or when tension and restriction prevent our full range of motion.

Many of us have spent years overriding our body’s signals, pushing when we should pause, holding when we should release. Here, we reverse that pattern. By following the breath, feeling into gravity, and sensing the subtle pathways of movement, we begin to reclaim our body’s innate wisdom, not as something separate from us, but as the very ground of our being.
